54-year-old Cameroonian dies in Bahrain two weeks after arrival

The body of a 54-year-old Cameroonian is said to be lying at a mortuary in Bahrain.

The Cameroonian identified as Victor Simo Fotso, was confirmed dead on Tuesday June 14.

His demise, we gathered, occured two weeks after he traveled to the Middle Eastern country.

The President of the Cameroonian community in Bahrain, Elangwe Manfred in a statement said the cause of Simo’s death is unclear.

He, however, admitted the compatriot had been unwell since he arrived the country.

A statement he issued read thus:

“We have lost one of our brother by name Victor Simo Fotso who came into Bahrain just about 2 weeks ago. He died at the Salmanyia Medical Complex. We do not know the cause of his demise but we learnt he was unwell.

His family and the Embassy have been informed of his death. His family is making arrangements for his mortal remains to be sent back home.

Please, anyone who wishes to support his family can reach out to me.

May the soul of the faithfully departed rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may we commit his family in our prayers as they go through this period of tribulation.”

It should be highlighted that intolerable Socio-economic and political realities in Cameroon continues to necessitate mass exodus of people of all ages.
