Saturday September 29, 2018 will be a historic day in Cameroon’s political landscape as the incumbent will face the principal opposition on the campaign ground.

For the first time, the flagbearer of the SDF, Joshua Osih, and that of the CPDM, Paul Biya, will be on campaigns in the northern regions, Garoua and Maroua respectively.

They have a single objective: woo voters ahead of the October 7 presidential elections.

Forty-nine-year-old Joshua Osih will hold a mega rally at ancien cinéma le Ribadou in Garoua while 85-year-old CPDM presidential candidate Paul Biya will be at the Yaya Dairou Stadium in Damayo in Maroua.

Security dispositions as announced by the governor have already been put in place, though Maroua residents complain of power outage in Damayo and bad roads.

What will both candidates be telling the people of the North and Far North regions tomorrow? What is Biya’s socio-economic balance sheet?

The answers will be provided in the next few hours.

We continue to follow up political happenings ahead of October 7th and you will be updated as soon as we are informed!
