Cameroon President Paul Biya’s 37th anniversary in power today coincides with the first year of his 7th mandate. According to critics, his mandate is marked by socio-political and economic tension in Cameroon that is almost fragmenting the country. They point at numerous sanctions from world powers on Cameroon, noting that the country has lost credibility at the international level.
The Section President of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement for Mezam Division says president Paul Biya is the only one that can take Cameroon to her destiny. Paul Atanga Nji was speaking in Bamenda today to mark the 37th anniversary of President Paul Biya’s stay in power. Militants of the party that turned up for the celebration mostly avoided Cameras for fear of attack by Ambazonia restoration forces.
Several members of government and other top civil servants were absent from their offices today in Yaoundé.
