The section president of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM in Nkambe in the North West region, Ngala Gerard has promised to push out all traces of Amba boys in the area.

Addressing natives of the area, he said Nkambe remains relatively peaceful due to the successful cooperation between the population and the forces of law and order.

He however lamented that the crisis has left several kids out of school and should be stopped.

“From Monday, let everyone come out with hoes and machetes to clean the schools. We will start with GS Tabenkeng then GHS” he told locals.

To ensure security all around the clock, Ngala Gerard noted that they all should have his contact.

“If you see an amba boy anywhere, call … if you hear the amba boys are anywhere, call me at any time and I’ll answer the call. Call me and I’ll give instructions” he said.

The recent action by the section president comes as one of his several actions to preserve peace in Nkambe, one of the most peaceful parts in the English speaking regions of the country.

The CPDM politician many however say is intensifying these actions for political gains, with the February 2020 municipal and legislative elections around the corner.

Honourable Cyprain Awudu Mbaya of the SDF on his part declined reelection in the legislative election slated for February 9, 2020. In a press conference in Yaoundé he explained that he was stepping out as a result of the Anglophone Crisis.
