The Social Democratic Front, SDF political party has said the party is not in its right form in the course of preparing for February 2020 twin elections but will not relent.

Denis Nkemlemo, the national communication secretary of the SDF party speaking to Canal 2 English TV January 7th 2020 said “in the north west region particularly, we are victims of obscure forces who don’t want the real voice of Anglophones to be heard. The houses of Hon. Mbah Ndam, mayor of Bafut Tubah, Mayor Njong Donatus, candidate for parliamentary election for Kumbo, Hon. Fusi Ndamunkong have been burnt while the mayor of Bamenda 2 Awah Fidelis was kidnapped and lot more other evils against the SDF”.

Beside cases of destructions and kidnappings, the SDF scribe says many of their militants have been threatened and forced to abandon the election race. For all these, Denise Nkemlemo agrees that it has weakened the party in the North West, South West and politics in Cameroon in general but insist “we will still run for the elections”.

SDF through the voice of its national communication secretary accuses the regime of having a hidden hand in the atrocities against the SDF party “…barons of this regime in the north West region are conniving with Ambazonia activists. They have gone into an unholy alliance to damage SDF and permit CPDM party to have an easy ride in the region next month. The intention is to discourage SDF and permit regime-made parties to survive”.

The political party headed by Chairman Ni John Fru Ndi questions why the government has not provided security it promised to Cameroonians and militants of the SDF during this election period.
