The speaker of Cameroon’s National Assembly has frowned at Cameroonians that pay no attention in respecting COVID-19 preventive measures. Hon. Cavaye Yeguié Djibril was speaking Wednesday June 10th 2020 while opening the June session of parliament.
To him, the non respect of COVID-19 measures is invariably linked to the geometric increase of coronavirus cases in Cameroon that stands at over 8000 today with more than 200 deaths.
Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has expressed deep appreciation to the government headed by Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute for leaving no stone unturned to stop the spread of coronavirus in Cameroon.
Addressing health workers placing their lives on the line to treat coronavirus patients, Hon. Cavaye thanked the health workers.
To some political commentators, the voice of the speaker was frail and shaking. They point to advancing age and health issues bordering the speaker.
