Following his viral video published on the German broadcaster, DW Africa, and on Mimi Mefo Info, 17-year-old Vidiol Tsague is today being received by Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute.
Vidiol Tsague, who build a prototype plane from scratch and his family traveled to Yaounde upon invitation from Cameroonian authorities.
Reports say the teen inventor will in the days ahead be received at the Presidency.
Vidiol said he wants to become an engineer, but his parents have not been able to send him to school to develop his talent.
Days ago, Vidiol was offered a four-year scholarship to study at the Afhemi University of Technology, AUT, based in Mabamda-Kumba.
The offer from AUT comes to fulfill the young inventor’s wish to become an engineer so he can build a passenger plane that can fly Cameroon’s airspace and beyond.
“We at AUT will do our best for Tsague Vidiol to acquire holistic skills towards achieving his dreams,” Alfred N. Funteh, Ph.D., Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs at AUT told Mimi Mefo Info in an exclusive interview.

Several other organisations and individuals have expressed the desire to assist the young inventor, by seeing into it that the kid goes to school o improve on his exceptional talent.
“We are praying to God for help, that my son finally goes to school, because if he becomes great tomorrow, it will benefit everyone and not just his family,” Vidiol’s father told DW.
As the young inventor gains state recognition, Mimi Mefo Info hopes that it will be an opportunity to highlight the importance of not just celebrating one child but creating the conditions for others like him to excel.
