Barrister Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho remains detained at the Limbe gendarmerie after he was picked up yesterday by security agents.

Attempts by his colleagues to free him last night proved futile.

“The company commander
Of Gendarmerie Limbe vows he must detain our colleague Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho esq .
That he has to continue with his investigation tomorrow” a lawyer said last night.

“He kept our colleagues who were at his rescue since 6:30, waiting in vain till 11:30 pm.”

He explains that “Senior Enow Benjamin and others have done their utmost best to secure his release but the commander is bent.”

The legal core plans to resume today all in a bid to secure his release: “A gamut of actions is in gestation to bring pressure to bear on the commander in order to secure his release tomorrow.
We shall be unleashing them incessantly .”

Arrested for defending a client
Barrister Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho was reportedly arrested on Tuesday around the time he reportedly had to meet the family of a girl shot dead while picking snails.

She was allegedly shot by soldiers, sources close to family members told MMI.

“On his way to Limbe to see one of the children that was wounded, he was arrested,” Barrister Ndep Nkongho told MMI after his arrest last night.
