The President of the Republic H.E. Paul Biya yesterday Wednesday, August 19, 2020, signed two decrees appointing Cameroon’s Ambassadors to Algeria and the African Union respectively.

The first of the decrees appoints Cameroonian from the West region, Dr. Komidor Njimuloh Hamidou as the Ambassador of Cameroon to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The 72-year-old diplomat was born in Foumban and was previously stationed in Congo where he spent over 5 years there as a Chief Diplomat.

Equally being the Cameroonian Consul General in France, Dr. Komidor Njimuloh has throughout his services gathered over 40 years of Diplomatic experience on the international scene.

The second presidential decree appointed Churchill Ewumbue Monono as Ambassador representing Cameroon at the African Union in Addis Ababa.

Monono, who was serving as technical advisor at the Presidency of the Republic was last week appointed as the Ambassador of Cameroon to Ethiopia in replacement of the deceased Ambassador, Jacques Alfred Eboule, who died a year ago.

The latter will now be handling the double position of Cameroon’s Ambassador to Ethiopia as well as the African Union still in Addis Ababa.
