There was pandemonium today at the Government Bilingual High School, GBHS Buea Town in the South West region.
“It was alleged that a bomb was found in one of the classes of the school” a source says, adding that due to the fear “students ran helter skater.”
Following a detailed check however, the threat was called off.
Our source said “… It was a stone wrapped in a pullover. Some students were given snake beatings for raising the false alarm.”
Today’s incident comes after what has been a tense week in schools in the North West and South West regions.
It also raises questions on government’s promised security for school resumption in the troubled regions.
