Seven Cameroonians have been arrested in Cyprus for allegedly trafficking 16 kilograms of drugs across the European Island country.
The suspects, including three females and four males, are in police custody for smuggling Marijuana, tramadol and other drugs into the country, local media has reported.
Most of the suspects are from Ndekwai, a village in Manyu, Southwest region.
They include Samuel Nkongho Tanyi, Kima Tabong Taken, Godlove Baiye Ako, Cynthia Orock Nkongho, Ludian Che Mankah, Joseph Aseneh Tayong, and Alexander Takor Ayuk.
Another suspect, Joseph Etta Mbi, was also arrested and has been charged in court for a similar offence.
Police officer, Baris Duman, who had been investigating the case has testified in court that the seven suspects were caught trafficking drugs.
