A 25-year-old boy has committed suicide in the Bomaka neighbourhood in Buea following his mother’s refusal to entertain his girlfriend’s pregnancy.
The boy, whose name we got as Aloysius, is reported to have died on Thursday, December 3, after drinking Mocab, an insecticide.
He had impregnated a lady, supposedly his girlfriend, but his mother refused to entertain the pregnancy, stating she wouldn’t want a “bastard” in her home.
Attempts to get to the family for further details on this information were unfruitful but his corpse is pending burial at the Buea Regional Hospital mortuary.
