The Popular Action Party (PAP) has condemned the killing of at least ten people in Mautu village; Muyuka sub division in the South West region of Cameroon.
The incident occured Sunday January 10th 2021.
In a release signed by the national president of PAP Wednesday January 13th 2021, Njang Denis Tabe said “we frown at such escalation of violence. We recall that the government of Cameroon through it’s military has been largely accused of the odious act by witnesses “.
PAP stated that it’s time the regime of president Paul Biya and the military restrain from violence and seek the way of inclusive dialogue to end the war.
” It is out of question that women,mothers and children be killed by regular state forces in the name of fighting the separatists”. PAP further warns that Yaounde regime should beware of the people of Mautu village in particular and Southern Cameroonians in general “
Adressing local population in the anglophone regions, Njang Denis Tabe ; president of PAP says the people should remain calm and not give in to the provocation by the military. “We encourage them never to stray out of that path of truth “.
In the face of all these, PAP calls for a peaceful political transition that will usher in a government that rule the people in respect of human dignity.
