In a correspondence signed by the Secretary-General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, President Paul Biya has issued firm instructions to the Minister of State Property and Land Tenure, to stop with immediate effect the sale of State Land.
The correspondence from the Presidency of the Republic is seen as a timely intervention as the management of state property by Minister Henry Eyebe Ayissi was becoming too much of a concern.
There were opinions that suggested that the Minister was indulging in indiscriminate leasing of state property to private individuals with the sole purpose of making some cash for himself.
