Reports emerging from Cameroon’s border town with Nigeria, Ekok in the South West Region, say many are stranded as Separatist fighters have closed down the Mamfe – Ekok road.
A stranded passenger returning from Nigeria has revealed to us that they have been on the road for 4 days but have not been granted access to go through.
Most of the passengers stranded say they have no food nor water to keep themselves going till the lockdown imposed by the fighters ends.
The lockdown imposed is supposed to last for a 10-day duration. It began on April 30, 2021.
The reason for the lockdown by the separatists fighters is still obscure.
