More bloodshed has been recorded in Kuvluh, a locality in Bui Division, in the troubled North West region of Cameroon.
Locals say in what was a continuation of raids and killings, soldiers stormed the village of Kuvluh after wreaking havoc in neighboring localities.
A local tells us the military on Thursday [yesterday] morning “… around 5:00 a.m invaded a village in Nkum subdivision called Kuvluh”.
The soldiers, he narrates, “… broke into the house of the Imam and Pa Jovro of Kuvluh, pulled them out and shot them”.
Given the hitherto peaceful nature of the area, the disruption is said to have scared locals who took to their heels.
“The gunshots put the villagers in disarray and there was serious pandemonium as it was their first time to witness such gunshots,” the local explains.
The two killed, he adds, “…were accused of collaborating with the separatist fighters”.
Kuvluh, it should be noted, is a village that is located at the gateway into Lassin where the separatist fighters attacked and killed Gendarmes days back, taking weapons with them.
The recent attacks is believed to be a retaliatory move by government forces.
