Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and the ministry of sports are at opposing sides following a planned extraordinary FECAFOOT meeting scheduled for tomorrow July 13th in Yaounde. While the ministry of sports posits that the meeting is against the law guiding FECAFOOT, the football management body says the meeting has already been endorsed by CAF and FIFA.

Professional footballers and football lovers in Cameroon fear that the new tussle between FECAFOOT and the ministry of sports may once again hault Cameroon football professional league. After an unannounced two months break, the professional football league resumed recently.


Nine suspected drug dealers and bandits are languishing in police custody in Douala.They are accused of attacking and seizing bags and other valuables from people in Douala 5. The police says many people in the line of dubious behaviours will be arrested in the days ahead.

There are mixed feelings in Cameroon following President Paul Biya’s first visit out of Cameroon after 20 months at home. President Paul Biya 88 years is believed to be going out for medical check-up though an official release from the director of civil cabinet at the presidency says he was heading to Europe for a brief private stay without precision.

CAF and FIFA have sent a warning to Cameroon with threats of possible suspension from football related activities. This is because the Sports Ministry is trying to block FECAFOOT’s executive from organising a General Assembly meeting.

Cameroonian students on fully funded scholarships in Morocco have protested infront of the embassy in Rabat. The students say they have been evicted from their homes for over 18 months of unpaid rents.

Cameroonians were shocked today after a footage emerged of a compatriot attempting suicide in Europe. The lady allegedly threw herself into a railway as she spotted an incoming train which somehow didn’t kill her. No one knows the reasons for her action yet.

Regional Delegate for Health in the Littoral recently ordered all Health personnel to get themselves vaccinated against Covid-19. Many concerned Health personnel have criticised the decision, saying that taking the vaccine was specified “voluntary” and not “mandatory” by the state.
