Media reports say the Cameroonian Government is putting together plans to open a consulate in Kuwait.
The main reason for this, is to enhance relations between both countries, as well as to take care of Cameroonian citizens in precarious conditions in the Middle Eastern Country.
We learn that this concern was raised in a video conference late last month between the Minister of External Relations, Le Jeune Mbella Mbella and the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Cameroon with residence in Abuja, Abdulaziz M. Al-Bisher.
Several complaints have been raised by Cameroonians living in the Middle East about their living conditions and how they are being treated in the region as foreigners. With very little foothold in Kuwait, the state has been unable to do much, which may eventually change with the imminent opening of the consulate.
