The 16th edition of the Paralympic games to be held in Tokyo will have three Cameroonian athletes who will be representing the country in different disciplines.
The team of athletes consisting of Marriete Lebog (Women 100& 200 Meters), Guillaume Atangana (Men’s 100 and 400 meters) and Mimozette Nghamsi (Powerlifting) who will be heading to Japan for the event that will begin from August 24 to September 5th, 2021 was received by Prime Minister, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute on August 3, at the Star Building in a farewell ceremony.
At the farewell ceremony, the President of the Paralympic Committee of Cameroon, Jean Jacque Ndoudoumou thanked the Government in its efforts to make sure that the country was represented at the world event in Japan.
Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute, wished the athletes luck and reassured them of the commitment and support of Government and the Cameroonian people as they strive to bring back medals to the country.
