One separatist fighter has been killed and another handed to the military at Waindu quarter in Wum, Menchum Division of North West region of Cameroon by a local vigilante group in the area.
The separatist fighter who came alongside others to kidnap a business man at the Waindu quarter, reports say, was caught and killed by members of the vigilante group.
Another was handed over to the Cameroonian security forces who arrived the scene later.
The Cameroonian military after arriving the scene, are said to have found one AK47 gun and other weapons abandoned by the separatist fighters who are on the run.
It should be noted that this is the first meaningful action carried out in Wum by the local vigilante group.
While congratulating the vigilante group for a job well done, the commander of the brigade in Wum called on the population to collaborate with the forces of law and order.
