GBHS Fundong Ex-students pick new EXCO, donate to charity

Former students of government bilingual high school Fundong, class of 2009 have put in place a new executive body that shall pilot the affairs of the group for the next two years.

This was during an annual general meeting of the association they held in Bafoussam recently. according to the results of the election, BENG ERIC warn the popular vote as president of the group and was given the mandate to make sure the association acquires its legal status as soon as possible, map out ways to better the lives of members, and present strategies the group can exploit to o its path of growth.

Speaking after his installation on August 28th, Beng Eric pledged his full commitment to serving his peers in his new capacity.

“I will only succeed as your president if we collectively work as a team,” said Beng.

The outgoing president, Nsom Conrad who had served the group as pioneer president for 4 years in his handing over speech said the fact the group has been able to organize election four years after creation shows that the group has come of age and is now matured enough and can break new and bigger grounds.

Created four years ago, the association has rapidly grown from a small WhatsApp group of friends to now a national association with chapters now in Bamenda, Buea, Yaoundé, Douala, and the Diaspora.

It was an opportunity for the association to donate some food and house items to an orphanage, randomly selected in the area, items like; soap, OMO, and cooking oil.

Members regretted the fact the prevailing I security has reduced the association’s Alma matter to ruins and in the future, the association shall strive to trigger its revitalization once things return to normalcy.
