Benjamin Zebaze, a Cameroonian Journalist, and Publisher of the Ouest-Littoral Newspaper has released a set of tricycles that he says he manufactured from scratch.
The journalist, who is equally a strong critic of the current regime, says that Africans are no less intelligent than the Westerners, insisting that the continent could still do well without any European or American influence over its economy and technology.
“I embarked on the construction of these machines to show, on the one hand, that Cameroonians are no less intelligent than others; on the other hand, that no country can ensure its economic survival without industry…” he said.
Having named his two inventions as Z1 and Z2, Benjamin Zebaze has opted to open up a plant in his hometown, Baleng in the Menoua Division, West Region, where he intends to inculcate the spirit of innovation on youths of his area.
“With the will power, and strong convictions, nothing can stop you if you believe in what you are doing,” he declared.
