The biannual governors’ conference has come to a close in Yaounde. The Governor of the Far North Region, Midjiyawa Bakari today kicked off a 3-day visit to the town of Kousseri in the Logone and Chari division. His visit is in relation to the intertribal conflict between the Choa Arabs and the Mousgoum communities that has led to several deaths in the two villages.

A suspected thief survived jungle justice today in Maroua, Far North Region. The supposed criminal was beaten to near-death by a mob after he was found with a stolen phone. He was rescued by the forces of law and order.

Indomitable Lions’ forward, Clinton Njie has returned to the squad after being shortlisted today by Head Coach Antonio Conceiçao. He is amongst the 40-man preliminary squad selected ahead of the AFCON2022. The squad will however be trimmed to 30 in the days ahead.
