Mr. Nyassa Soleil, a current member of the executive board of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has made bold claims saying he had infiltrated the Seidou Mbombo Njoya camp during campaigns for the elections.

The revelations were made by him live on Vision 4 TV. On the program, the former Mbombo Njoya ally says he maneuvered for the downfall of Seidou Mbombo Njoya to the benefit of Samuel Eto’o Fils.

He said on TV that “I was an infiltrator in the Mbombo Njoya camp…” Part of why he also desired to see the fall of Seidou Mbombo Njoya was financial, as he recounts: “I had a salary of 600,000FCFA that I did not touch for 4 years at FECAFOOT.”

Nyassa Soleil also hinted that the picture takings with the delegates, which Seidou Mbombo Njoya used, was a means to mask reality. He revealed that even delegates who had been portrayed as being for Seidou Mbombo Njoya all had parallel ideas from each other.

“We had had a strategic meeting of 5 amongst us, even though one of them was against it. We said to ourselves, let’s give a chance to this kid,” Nyassa Soleil revealed.

The member of the FECAFOOT executive board also bemoaned the fact that the former president rarely had time for footballing activities in the country and above all not social enough with his collaborators.

Samuel Eto’o Fils today is in his fourth day as the new President of the Cameroon Football Federation. He won the election of December 11, by beating Seidou Mbombo Njoya with 43 votes against 31.

His election at the helm of FECAFOOT has given a lot of Cameroonians much enthusiasm as they feel a genuine footballing figure at the head of FECAFOOT would be a good springboard to the development of Cameroonian football.
