Boosting AFCON match Attendance:
Okalia Bilai Calls For Strict Respect Of Biya’s New School, Work Schedules

The Governor of Cameroon’s restive South West region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, has reiterated that the respect of new presidential instructions reducing work hours for public servants and the time students and teachers spend is school is nonnegotiable.


In a recent release, the administrator said the order of President Paul Biya communicated through the scribe at the Prime Minister’s Office, Seraphin Magloire Fouda must be respected across his unit of command.


Biya ordered the move to help step up the attendance at matches of the 33rd edition of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, ongoing in Cameroon.
In this light, Governor Okalia has instructed Senior Divisional Officers, SDOS, Divisional Officers, D.Os , delegates and heads of public institutions in the South West region to reinforce move.


The governor in his release stated that the free time given workers and students should not be channelled for personal leisure but be used by the concerned to filling AFCON play grounds and give Africa’s biggest football fiesta a successful look.
