Calm has been reinstated in Mile 6 Nkwen, Bamenda, after elements of the Cameroon military gunned down three thieves.
The men of the underworld had robbed a filling station and were making away
Reports says the thieves, four in number stormed the BOCOM filing station last evening and collected valuables from some young men who were having a drink at the shop in that station.
They looted the shop equally and emptied their coffers.
Meanwhile, the soldiers that normally guard the station noticed the scene and didn’t attack immediately for fear of collateral damage.
They took strategic cover at both entrances into the station.
The thieves completed their looting and took off with their vehicle (late Barrister Kemende’s vehicle).
A few meters from the scene, the military opened fire on their vehicle and killed three of them on the spot. One bandit managed to escaped.
This comes barely few weeks a similar incident took place at the blessing filling station at St Paul’s junction mile 3 still in Nkwen.
Given that the robbers were in possession of a car that belonged to late Senator and Barrister, Kemende, it is believed they are part of the unit that abducted and later killed the opposition politician.
