A young girl has been raped and killed in Kaèlè, Mayo-Kani division of the Far North region.
The corpse of the young girl whose name MMI could not immediately get was later discovered in an abandoned building.
According to reports, the young girl was apprended by unidentified men who raped, killed and abandoned her corpse in the building.
The body was found in an advanced state of decomposition. Officers of the Kaele Gendamerie Brigade are said to have alongside medical personnels stormed the scene.
Investigations are said to have confirmed that the girl was raped by several persons.
“We will put in every effort to ensure that the perpetrators of this act are arrested and brought to justice,” said Saidou Abakachi, commander of the Kaèlè Gendarmerie Brigade.
