The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba has inaugurated the Presbyterian Health Complex in Bamenda.
The inauguration ceremony took place Saturday, April 23rd, 2022.
The Canadian High Commissioner to Cameroon, His Excellency Richard Bale was guest of honour at the event.
During the event, Chenwi Peter, Mayor of the Bamenda II Council donated the sum of 1 Million FCFA to take care of the bills of the first 100 patients of the newly inaugurated PCC Health Complex at Ntamulung, Bamenda.
“I am very happy for such a gesture by the Presbyterian Church. The structure is here and what is needed is management ability and security. To the best of my ability together with the administration of this Region, the security of this center, workers, and patients will be taken care of. The best way that I can manifest my joy is by taking care of the bills of the first 100 patients of this establishment” Chenwi stated.
At the inauguration, the number of patients hospitalized at the PCC Health Complex were seven.
The Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba in his inaugural speech thanked the Almighty for enabling him and the Presbyterian Church to realize such a 21st-century standard health facility at the service of the population of the North West Region of Cameroon, especially at a time when healthcare provision is a worry.
The Moderator ended his intervention by promising the same kind of structure, at the same time next year in Garuoa.
This was sure proof of the notion of a universal church free from cultural and other dynamics that entail spiritual upliftment.
Before the inauguration Mayor Chenwi Peter received an award from the PCC for his generous contribution to the church and the CMF movement.
