The Cameroon Sugar Company, SOSUCAM, has announced the resumption of activities at its Mbandjock plant in the Upper Sanaga division of the centre region.
The announcement is the content of an internal memo signed Monday April 25 by, Samuel Libock, Deputy General Manager SOSUCAM.
The document stated that the fuel issues which paralyzed the activities at the company has been resolved.
The announcement comes after the Centre Regional Delegate of Water and Energy Resources informed SOSUCAM, through a communiqué about the availability fuel.
In the communique , the official reassured the population that enough fuel has been put at the disposal of the company to ensure the continuous production of sugar to meet local needs.
There had been fears of a sugar shortage in the near future after SOSUCAM announced the suspension of work at the plant o April 2022, citing fuel scarcity.
