The Bamenda Military Court has remanded 24 of 40 commercial motor bike riders arrested in Oku, Ngokentunjia division of the restive North West region into custody.
16 others are still nowhere to be found.
To recall that they were arrested by soldiers weeks back and tagged as Amba fighters.
MMI gathered that, the commercial bike riders were before a military judge on Tuesday May 17.
The judge is said to have ordered for them to be kept in detention at the Bamenda Central Prison.
Fears are now rife if 16 others missing are still alive.
At the time of their arrest, they were reportedly accompanying the corpse of a colleague for burial.
The said colleague, sources said, who was shot dead in Bamenda allegedly by soldiers.
It is not known what they are formally charged for but speculations hold that their charges may not be unconnected to the raging armed conflict in the English-speaking regions.
