A Gendarme has been left wounded after heavy gunshots were heard in the Bonanjo neighborhood in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon.
The incident took place today, September 16, 2022.
According to reports, the heavy gunshots were a result of an attempted robbery by some criminals. While two were arrested, one is said to be on the run.
Reports from state media indicate, that, “the vehicle of a special adviser to the President of the Central African Republic, on a working trip in the economic capital of Cameroon, as well as a Gendarme,” were hit in the process.
Those apprehended have been detained by elements of the territorial gendarmerie.
