Women in Bamenda joined their peers the world over this Wednesday, March 8, to commemorate the 2023 edition of the International Women’s Day.
The day unfolded amid ghost town as streets were seen deserted.
Presiding over the ceremony at the Commercial Avenue Grandstand was North West governor, Adolphe Lele L’Afrique.
Some young women who have distinguished themselves in different works of life were Knighted and honoured by the authorities.
Tata Carine, a native of the Region who emerged champion in the female category of the just-ended mount Camerooon Race of Hope was one of the recipients.
