A man in Bomet County, Kenya, has reportedly killed his wife on allegations of flirting with other men on Facebook.
21-year-old Ismael Kingeno Langat is reported to have attacked his spouse with a knife after she arrived home from college, where she was schooling.
Ismael claimed that he “had sold a piece of land to educate the woman,” further adding he “had warned the deceased against her flirtatious behaviour.”
Local sources say, the suspect also attempted to kill his father, who had rushed to the scene to find out what was going on but managed to escape by a whisker after dodging the knife-wielding son who was baying for his blood.
After the heinous act and Ismael surrendered himself to Makimeny Police Station, carrying a blood-stained knife.
Chepalungu Police chief, Panton Analo said “the body of the deceased has since been moved to Longisa Referral Hospital Mortuary.”
