As the 2023 CAF Awards approach on Monday, December 11, 2023, all eyes are on Andre Onana, who is the only Cameroonian who has earned a nomination within the top three Goalkeeper of the Year (Men) category. The unveiling of the top three nominees across all categories by CAF signals the anticipation building for this grand event, but for many Cameroonians, it is a letdown as many of their nominees did not make it to the top spots.
The ultimate winners will emerge from votes cast by a distinguished panel, including the CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations, and clubs participating in the group stages of the Interclub competitions.
The Awards Gala is set to take place at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco, at 19H00 local time (18H00 GMT).
