One of the most significant Personal Development Conferences in Cameroon, GoMAD (Go Make a Difference), is gearing up for its 9th edition scheduled for February 24. The event will unfold at Hotel La Falaise Bonanjo in Douala, situated in the Littoral region of Cameroon.
Themed “See the need to take the lead,” the conference anticipates the participation of 800 to 1000 young professionals, entrepreneurs, and jobseekers. The roster includes seven speakers, four panelists, and eight workshop facilitators.
Over the past five years, GoMAD Network has established itself as a platform that brings in top-tier trainers from various fields to inspire and challenge its participants.
During a press conference held on January 30, 2024, Godlove Njisong, the founder of GoMAD, articulated the network’s mission as one dedicated to transforming lives, helping individuals enhance their careers and personal development. He emphasized the goal of making a difference wherever participants find themselves.
Njisong outlined GoMAD’s vision, aiming to become the leading provider of life transformation events in Africa. He stressed the importance of cultivating citizens who actively contribute to solutions instead of merely complaining about challenges. The conference aims to instill a sense of leadership and proactive problem-solving among its attendees.
Reflecting on the origins of GoMAD, Njisong shared that the initiative sprang from a profound decision to switch careers. The inaugural edition, held in October, drew over 40 participants. Over the years, the conference has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from 40 to over 600 participants.
Highlighting the uniqueness of the upcoming edition, Njisong expressed optimism that attendees would return to their respective regions in Cameroon equipped to be proactive problem solvers, thus contributing to alleviating the nation’s challenges.
