Military leaders from the 5th Joint Military Region and the 5th Gerndarmerie Region convened in Bamenda yesterday for a pivotal operational control and security evaluation meeting, setting the stage for enhanced security measures in the region. Brigadier General Bouba Dobekreo, overseeing the 5th Joint Military Region, opened the meeting with an overview of the region’s security status. “The security situation remains firmly under the control of the dedicated forces on the ground,” affirmed General Bouba, highlighting the unwavering commitment of military personnel to maintaining stability despite the prevailing situation, which soldiers have paid even with their lives.
