A selfless gesture by a Cameroonian kid sharing his meal comedian Grand Lawrenzo goes viral.
An online video of a little boy named Njumbeh’s selfless gesture toward well-known Cameroonian comedian Grand Lawrenzo has gone viral.
On Friday, July 28, 2023, an English-speaking comedian released a video in which he thanked a young boy for gifting him “Akara,” a type of flatbread produced from cassava. Akara is a widely consumed delicacy in Cameroon.
Lawrenzo says he encountered the young man while he was peddling “Akara” on the streets of Buea in Cameroon’s South West Region.
The boy’s mother confirmed in another video posted by Grand Lawrenzo during a visit to Njumbeh’s family home that the “Akara” in question was the additional food she had put in the boy’s bucket so he could eat while hawking.
Njumbeh explained, “I was no longer hungry because I was happy I had given my food to Grand Lawrenzo.”
“That’s fantastic. I pray that in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Almighty God will continue to provide him with all the happiness and success he deserves. He is a young man who will one day make an excellent leader. Constance Atiabet, a Facebook user, wrote, “God bless my boy” alongside the video.

Since the video went viral, many Cameroonians at home and abroad have donated financial and material support to the kid.
I promised you folks that I would call Njumbe like a king for his kind act. I spoke with him and his mother for a total of four minutes. On Monday, a Cameroonian businessman promised to pay all of the boy’s education expenses.
Many other influential people, including the hosts of the Mama Atalaku Show, Descartes N, and The Roy Mamah Show, have also promised to help the boy’s family financially.
“GrandLawrenzo please can I come in to support that little boy’s mom that gave you akara with 100,000frs,” Mama Atalaku wrote on her official Facebook profile.
Several other persons have also reached out to help.
Many people have commented on how much they admire the boy for being so altruistic.
