Teenagers sexually abused Buea
Two teenage girls named Priscilla and Yenisse Bukwe (names altered by MMI for security reasons) have called out a police officer serving at the Buea Central police station, South West Region of Cameroon for sexually abusing them.
The victims aged 16, appeared in a viral video making startling revelations about the police officer, a certain Mr Eyenga.
According to the girls, Mr Eyenga has been threatening to kill them if they speak out after sexually exploiting them.
They revealed that he was arrested and locked up Yenisse Bukwe whom he used as a bet to get her friend Priscilla.
He then sexually exploited and threatened to kill her if she speaks out.
Priscilla says she is traumatized since the terrible incident occurred Sunday June 11, 2023 in Buea.
“…………… Since the day of the incident Mr Eyenga has been calling and threatening to kill me because I told him I was going to report the matter,” Priscilla said adding that, “He said if i mention it, he will kill me in the space of seconds.”
The teenager now fears for her life following threats from an abuser, who is an officer of ‘the law.’
“I am scared of my life because I do not know which step he is going to take.He told me he is a general at the central police station,” Priscilla went on revealing that, “He says if he does not sleep with me and my friend, he will kill both of us.”
“This is my friend Yenisse who can best explain what happened,” said Priscilla.

MMI gathered that the whole saga started on Sunday June 11, when Yenisse, Priscilla’s friend was arrested and locked up by Mr Eyenga for non possession of national identity card.
The police officer then used the situation to sexually abuse the teenagers who are all below the age of seventeen.
“I was caught on Sunday for non possession of national identity card. While at the police station I used Mr Eyenga’s phone to call my friend, Priscilla to bring my birth certificate because I am still sixteen-years-old and do not have an identity card. When I arrived, Mr Eyenga told me that if I sleep with him he is going to release me. I said no because it was going to traumatize me and he said I was going to rot in the cell,” Yenisse explained.
She went on that “I stayed in the cell not knowing that he used his phone, called my friend and asked to meet her at Check Point. He slept with her and threatened to kill her if she speaks out.”
“It was thanks to another officer that I regained my freedom. Mr Eyenga had said he was not going to release me because I refused to sleep with him.” Yenisse continued.
The video which has now gone viral on social media has triggered public outrage — with many calling for the police boss to investigate and sanction the officer involved
“This must not go unpunished, a civil society actor told MMI.
