Some Lawyers from the Comoros Islands have launched a public demand for Cameroon’s game against Comoros tonight to be postponed.
The Comorian national team has been hit with a Covid-19 Outbreak ahead of their round of 16 game against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The team has been hit with as many as 12 positive cases, including two goalkeepers and their head coach.
With their third goalkeeper also injured, the Comorians will have to field an outfield player in the goal against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon tonight if the game goes ahead.
In a correspondence addressed to CAF, a group of lawyers from Comoros have called the tests that saw them have 12 positive cases of Covid-19 “Fraudulent”. According to the lawyers, the game going through will be highly unsportsmanlike especially against a team participating for the first time like them.
Nevertheless, plans are moving forward for the game to on as planned. Further tests however will be done before the game tonight at 8 pm.
