Following the postponed match between Sierra Leone and Benin after a Covid-19 controversy, the Confederation of African Football – CAF has scheduled the draws for the upcoming tournament in Cameroon for June 25, 2021. The decision was taken by the CAF executive committee meeting held on March 30.
Exactly 23 teams that will be taking part in the AFCON have already been known, and they include key favourites who will be expecting to go for the crown such as 7 times AFCON holders Egypt, 5 times Champions Cameroon, 4 times Champions Ghana, 3 times Champions, Nigeria as well as tournament favourites, Algeria and Senegal.
