The Olembe Football Stadium in Yaoundé is at risk of not hosting games during the African Cup of Nations Tournament.
A letter sent by the Confederation of African Football has expressed disappointment at the sluggish progress of work, despite government giving untrue reports about the stadium’s progress.
CAF has given Cameroon until November 30, to ameliorate the conditions of the football stadium, else it runs a risk of not hosting the opening ceremony of the African Cup of Nations come January.
The African Cup of Nations 2022 is set to kick off on January 09, 2022, in Yaoundé Cameroon, less than 2 months from now. Many Cameroonians have criticized the authorities for the inadequate preparation of facilities, even though the country has had more time than other hosts in preparing for the tournament.
