After excruciating trip to Europe by land, Francis Ngannou Set to fly back with glory

Preparations by several groups are ongoing at the Douala International Airport as UFC World Heavyweight Champion, Francis Ngannou is set to arrive the country any moment from now.

Having spent his entire life at Batie, in the West Region where he worked as at a sand quarry since he was eleven years old, he decided to take the dangerous trip like thousands of others, to go Europe through land in search of greener pastures.

But for the man he is, Ngannou’s incredible journey to the top of the world was nothing for the ordinary man nor the feeble minded.

In an interview with American YouTuber, Joe Regan, Francis Ngannou explained that during the journey at some points, they basically had to wrap the monies they had on them inside waterproof bag and swallow just so they are not robbed.

They would later have to sort out the cash from their faeces later on. He also said that he had to equally drink water from wells which contained dead animals just so not to die of dehydration.

After getting detained in Spain for illegal immigration, Ngannou found his way to Paris were was introduced to the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

He later on moved to the U.S where he signed a contract with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and from his first fight made an immediate impact.

Francis Ngannou currently holds the record for the Hardest Punch in the World. The weight of his punch was described by UFC President, Dana White as an equivalent to be being hit by a Ford Escort going as fast as it can. Perhaps the evidence was clearly shown in his fights.

Most of Francis Ngannou’s victories in the UFC are by brutal First Round or Second Round K.O with most of them not even lasting 2 minutes.

On March 27, 2021, Francis Ngannou Knocked Out then Heavyweight Champion, Stipe Miocic to become the first ever African to be crowned best in that Category. He completed an African trio of UFC Champions together with UFC Welterweight Champion, Usman Kamaru and Middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya both from Nigeria.

Having left the sand mines in Batie as a complete nobody, Ngannou will be returning to Cameroon as one of the country’ most celebrated icons on the international stage.

Being detained in Spain as an outlaw, unrecognized at home and homeless in Paris, Ngannou will be welcomed home by Governors and dance groups.
