Akere Muna Declares Assets, Health Records

Barrister Akere Muna has declared his assets before journalists in Yaoundé, one day after he held a crowd-pulling convention to launch his campaigns.

The presidential candidate of the PFD party told journalists that he has to act by example and called it inadmissible that no government official or president has ever respected Article 66 of the constitution on the declaration of assets.

The coordinator of the Now Movement also brandished a medical certificate dated September 15th 2018 obtained from the Central Hospital and said a presidential hopeful must be healthy.

Barrister Akere Muna is one the presidential candidates who refused the 15 million francs government funding of campaign activities.

He called it a government scam and questioned how the government could collect hundreds of millions as caution fee and end up spending less than half of it. He also asked to know what has become of the campaign budget set aside months to the election.

Barrister Akere Muna will continue his campaign tour in Sangmelima and Ebolowa in the South region of Cameroon.
