The Governor of the Northwest Region, Adolf Lele L’afrique has reacted to the attack that was carried out by some separatist fighters on military forces in Lassin village, Bui Division.

The attack by the separatist fighter led by Notorious General No Pity led to some serious casualties on the part of the military, with some forced to escape, together with many arms seized by the ambushers.

“At about 2:00 am (local time), one of the leaders of the armed separatist groups, General No Pity attacked the gendarmerie brigade at Lassin in Bui, North-West region, killing four gendarmes and taking away weapons,” stated Governor Lele L’afrique on state media.

It should be noted that the town of Kumbo has been under serious unrest within the past few weeks with several raids by the Military in various villages. Hundreds of villagers have fled to bushes and forests as the soldiers have embarked on an indiscriminate burning spree in various parts of Bui Division.

Separatist fighters have also fought back, engaging the army in several open confrontations, as well as resorting to ambushes and planting of explosives on their paths.

These events have basically transformed most areas of Bui Division into an open conflict zone, sending most of its inhabitants into hiding in thick forests and bushes.
