Amba Boys attack drinking spot, kill Quarter head in Bambui

There is total distress in Tubah 1 Quarter in Bambui following the shooting to death of the community’s Quarter Head.

Tenor Gabriel was reportedly killed by suspected armed separatist fighters who invaded the area.

Reports say the community leader was shot death following an attack Sunday May 29, 2022 in a drinking spot around four corners Bambui, a village in Tubah subdivision, Mezam division of the crisis hit North West region.


Customers had their phones, money and other valuables siezed by the attackers, MMI has learnt.

“Armed men believe to be amba boys attacked a popular drinking spot in Bambui four corners, at 3pm on Sunday 29th, May 2022,” a witness has told MMI.



According to the witness who opted not to be named, “they Collected money, phones and other items from customers.”

The quarter head of Tubah 1, Tenoh Gabriel was reportedly shot death during the operation.


“They equally shot and killed the quarter head of the same quarter, during the operation,” the eye witness said further lamenting that, “…….the entire quarter is depressed,the quarter head was a very social man.”

After harassing those in the bar they left and and on their way back, shot the Quarter head at the junction, sources say.
