American Fugitive in Cameroon Extradited

An American fugitive, alongside his wife, has been extradited to the United States of America after it was realized they had left the country after tax evasion allegations.

Ebong Aloysius Tilong, the Cameroonian-American man, and his wife Marie Neba are believed to have evaded the payment of taxes in the US worth 13 Million USD.

The couple had set up a caregivers agency in Texas. The couple is accused of several financial fraudulent activities through the agency.

The couple left America and returned to Cameroon in 2018, fleeing from an 80 years prison sentence handed to them that year.

He was later on discovered in Cameroon by the FBI, who informed the Cameroonian authorities who in turn authorized his arrest and extradition.

Ebong Aloysius has since pleaded guilty to tax evasion, and money laundering. He will be imprisoned in America and will serve his initial 80 years jail term.
