Today, we remember victims of the February 14th 2020 Ngarbuh Massacre

In the hours ahead, Mimi Mefo Info (MMI) will publish editorials, testimonies and investigative reports on what happened during and after

Here is a poem by Foncha Hazel Yaah, in honour of the fallen victims.

AN UNFOGETABLE DAY IN THE WIMBUM LAND (the Ngarbuh massacre)

We used to celebrate valentine’s day before 14/02/2020 came,

And behold, the day became a burning flame.

Our loved ones were chopped off by strangers,

And our house burnt down into arches.
Boom! Mbum land was left in tears???.

As we wept all days and nights and now counts a year.

Contrast made our brothers our enemies,
And our tears washed out our Melodies.

Mbum land remained bereaved and brooding over the calamity,
But she trusted and believed in unanimity.

May the long departed souls continue to rest in his bosom,

While we hope on God to fight our battles.??

@I am Ngarbuh#
