06 dead and several injured in Bamenda

This morning, the Defence and Security Forces were attacked by armed men in the town of Matazem near Bamenda, in Mezam Division, North West Region. The armed men are believed to be separatist activists.

The deceased are said to be 03 gendarmes, 01 police officer and 02 civilians. The death toll on the assailant side is not yet known.

The town of Matazem is located just at the entrance to the North West Region, on the border with the town of Babadjou, in Bamboutos Division, West Region.
