Another explosive device has detonated this Friday morning in front of the former Yaounde Park, Nkwen market in Bamenda, North West region of Cameroon.
According to vendors at the scene this morning, the explosive was planted in front of a businessman’s shop [name withheld] last night.
Early this morning, he is said to have carefully carried it to a trash can nearby and the elements of nkwen gendamarie brigade were called in.
Upon their arrival, the explosive detonated inside the trash can, harming nobody. The thickly congested market areas has become a hot spot of recent with several explosives planted around there.
This morning’s incident has been describe by many around the area as a tribal gesture given that the business man which the explosive was planted in front of his store is French speaking.
