Shocking; DO stops MRC official from getting married

A top official of the MRC political party,
OLIVIER BIBOU NISSACK been prohibited from tieing the nuptial knot.

The decision was made by Mamadi Mahamat, DO of the Yaoundé 2 subdivision, who in order to justify his actions, purported that His Majesty Biloa Effa, who had been chosen to preside over the wedding ceremony wasn’t invited.

The DO then qualified Olivier Bijou Nissack’s marriage as a “public ceremony” which had not been declared and visaed by him and therefore cannot be held.

In prelude to this act, the DO had yesterday Thursday, reprimanded the manager of the hotel where the wedding was to be held and ordered him to annul the occasion.

This act from an administrative authority has met with lots of indignation and anger by the Cameroonian opposition and civil society, who have termed it as an act of intimidation. Tempers are flaring up as the MRC party is yet to come to terms with this bizarre decision.
